- What happens when my storage is full?
- With Shotbolt Pro, your oldest share links make room: when a new link doesn't fit in 2 GB, Shotbolt removes your oldest finished links until it does. They would end within 7 days anyway. Shotbolt Link and Shotbolt Team never remove anything on their own: you decide what to delete. A single file larger than your plan's storage can't be shared.
- When does a link expire?
- When you choose. With Shotbolt Pro, a link lasts up to 7 days. With Shotbolt Link or Shotbolt Team, a new link ends after 30 days unless you keep it, and a kept link stays until you delete it. You can change the date of any link later. If you cancel, your links keep working for 60 days.
- Can I cancel, and get my money back?
- Yes. Cancel in the customer portal or in Settings → Shotbolt Link. A monthly plan stays on until the end of the month you paid for. A yearly plan stays on until the end of its year; once it has renewed, canceling ends it at the end of the current month and we refund the full months left. If Shotbolt Link isn't right for you, you get a full refund within 14 days of your first payment, once per customer, no questions asked: use shotbolt.app/withdraw or email support@shotbolt.app. That comes on top of your statutory rights, such as the EU right of withdrawal.
- Can I use it on more than one Mac?
- Yes, on every Mac you use. There is no password: in Settings → Shotbolt Link, sign in with the same account on each Mac. Bought here, that is the email address you paid with, confirmed with a code we email you. Bought from See Plans in the app, the plan is on the account you were signed in with there. Your links and storage are the same on every Mac.
- Do prices include VAT?
- No. Prices are in US dollars and exclude VAT. Polar, our payment provider, adds sales tax or VAT where it applies at checkout, which shows the total before you pay.
- Who sells the plan, and where is my receipt?
- Polar sells Shotbolt Link and Shotbolt Team as our reseller. It takes the payment and emails your receipt. Invoices, your card and canceling are in its customer portal. Open the customer portal
- What if I pay with a different email address?
- The plan belongs to the email address you pay with. From See Plans in Shotbolt, checkout uses your account's address. Here, the store asks for one: use the address you sign in to Shotbolt with. The page after checkout shows the address you paid with; sign in to Shotbolt with that one. Paid with the wrong address? Write to support@shotbolt.app with your receipt and the address you want, and we'll help you move the plan.
- Where are shared files stored?
- In the EU: shared files and our database are stored in Cloudflare's EU jurisdiction. Only what you share is uploaded, and links are unlisted and kept out of search engines. Where we store it
- I own Shotbolt Pro. What changes?
- Nothing you have goes away: Pro keeps its share links that last up to 7 days. Shotbolt Pro owners get Shotbolt Link yearly with 1 month free, then the founders' price of $36 for the first year. 10 GB during the free trial; full storage from the first payment. Open Shotbolt, go to Settings → Shotbolt Link and choose See Plans: this page then opens with your offer on it.
- How is Shotbolt Team billed, and can I cancel?
- Per seat, from 2 seats, monthly or yearly, and every team starts with 14 days free, with a card at checkout. 10 GB during the free trial; full storage from the first payment. The founders' price is the first yearly charge after the trial. Shotbolt Team is a business service, so the consumer right of withdrawal doesn't apply to it. Cancel during the free trial and you pay nothing. After that, canceling stops the next renewal, and the team stays on until the end of the period paid for. Paid periods are not refunded, unless the terms or the law say otherwise.
- Who manages Shotbolt Team seats?
- The person who buys is the team's admin, and gets a seat too. They add and remove seats in the customer portal, which shows what a change costs, and give each seat to a teammate's email address. That teammate gets a license key by email: it unlocks Shotbolt Pro on 2 Macs and puts them on the team. The admin sets the team's link rules and can delete any team share.
