Three steps to your first capture.
Move it to Applications
Open the download and move Shotbolt to your Applications folder, then open it. It lives in the menu bar.
Allow Screen Recording
macOS asks for Screen Recording permission the first time. It is the only permission Shotbolt needs to capture. The camera and keystroke overlay ask for theirs only if you turn them on.
Keep your shortcuts
If CleanShot X is installed, its shortcuts, export folder and after-capture actions are imported. Otherwise a short welcome guide helps you pick shortcuts.
